Over the past couple of decades, the internet has strongly influenced the way in which our businesses work. Many rely heavily on the internet not only to help their business succeed, but also for it to survive. In fact, the world of business has been so heavily reliant on the internet, that it is now seen as out of the norm to not have a website for your business on the net. Although many businesses rely heavily on the internet, its introduction to the business world has paved the way for more successful, effective methods of marketing which has helped make some businesses bigger than they ever thought possible.
Got a product or service? Looking to market it? If so you’ve probably heard of online video marketing and the effect that it can have on your business. The fact that 80% of Internet users watch website videos is just one of the many reasons that video marketing is now one of the most effective Internet marketing strategies you can apply.
The whole point of marketing a product or service is to provoke interest; it is about getting people to know what you are offering them. Website Videos capture attention and engages a viewer’s visual, auditory and kinesthetic senses. i-video was once again proud to be a sponsor the Small Business Awards 2010 for our local Chamber of Commerce.
The red-carpet event was this year held at Peel Manor House, Karnup. It’s a place the team at i-video know extremely well and love. The entire evening was a great success with the venue of
fering not only a touch of class, but a wonderful intimate environment that saw most stay and party on long after the official presentation was over.
For the third year running, i-video was asked to produce the multi-media presentation for the evening. It’s an honour to be asked to do this for such a high-profile and prestigious event in our community. After many weeks of pre and post production on the presentation, we were also there to run it on the night. With the help of Peel Manor House and Peel Audio, there were 3 screens set up so all had a good vantage point to view the night’s presentation.
The category i-video sponsored this year was “Outstanding Contribution to the Chamber Award”, and we’d like to extend our congratulations to Michael Temperton-Ryan, a very popular choice, as the winner of this prestigious award.
Urban Retreat Day Spa took out the major award of the evening – “Business of the Year 2010”. So thoroughly deserved - congratulations. Equally deserving was the “Business Person of the Year 2010” – Veronica Smith from Donnabella Bridal.

We had such an awesome response to the local Talent Search and we would like to thank all those who put their names forward or nominated others. We were provided with information on the amazing things you and others can do and we thank you for being so responsive, and would also like to thank the local media who heard about the quest and helped promote the event.
i-video, on behalf of their client, Small Business Centre South West Metro, was promoting and running the talent search event. However, our client is currently undergoing some changes within their organisation and have decided to temporarily defer the project and, in turn, the Talent Search.
Do you have a hidden talent?
Or do you know someone who does?
Can you sing?
Can you dance?
Maybe you would like to nominate a really inspiring person in our community?
Do you know someone who has made an amazing discovery?
Since
early April Renae Hardie Braovich, Director of i-video has been running regular workshops on "How to Create a Webpage" as part of i-video's vision to help small business succeed and enhance their Online presence.
Tonight Renae runs her last workshop for a few weeks as she and i-video concentrate their focus on the huge community project they are helping develop and market in the Rockingham and Kwinana region. But Renae will be returning to her workshops (back by popular demand!) to continue her quest for Online Success for small business.
If you are eager to learn more or are a small business owner or have employees you consider would benefit from learning how to create and maintain their own webpage, please contact i-video through the contact page to leave your expression of interest and we will be in touch with you when the courses restart.
In the meantime, please read some of the awesome testimonials that Renae has received about her "How to Create a Webpage" workshops. See below:
i-video is undertaking a big community project in the Rockingham and Kwinana areas of Western Australia. We want to film a series of short video clips about "ordinary people doing the extraordinary". Things like "Grandma Smith, aged 95, paragliding", or "big wave wipe-out Billy Jones" - things that are funny and different.
Is this you? Or do you know someone who fits this bill? Are they are resident of the Rockingham or Kwinana Shires?
We need to hear from you urgently so that i-video can meet and film these people. The best (most hilarious) five clips will appear in the final production when the project is launched in August. Instant fame!!
